Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL)
Known as Ultrasound assisted liposuction, this type of liposuction is usually done together with tumescent liposuction. This method differs from the tumescent liposuction in the sense that instead of injecting sterile solution into the fag layers, a metal rod is inserted instead. Since it emits some form of ultrasonic energy, the fat layers melt, hence making for easy removal in liquefied form.

Vibration liposuction
As the name suggests, a cannula that rotates is used to cause the fat layers to collapse and come out in liquefied form. This method has advantages over the other 2 mentioned above in the sense that there is less pain since it is not mechanical. Swelling is also greatly diminished during the fat removal. Well known as powered lipsuction, it is the choice for smaller areas of the body where precision is required. This includes such body parts as knees, arms and ankles.
Once the procedure is over, one should expect bruising and swelling. Pain is also usually present, though all these depend on the type of liposuction and the experience of the surgeon.
